Licenced to bully

We’ve heard the story of the bet between the sun and the wind and who could make the man take his coat off. You can blow as hard as you can and accomplish nothing (positive) and waste energy in the mix or you can shine gently and get what you needed in the first place. You wonder if it’s the power that corrupts their perception of if they are just plain stupid leaders. I know what my opinion is but I don’t care to have it validated. However the situation comes about, you note that the bully will never pick a fair fight, but will only look for someone smaller or with less influence and will strike when the victim is in a weakened state. And of course this behaviour is commendable among their peers as the entire system is corrupted, curry favouring, cowardly, covetous,  cretinous and completely coded cacaphony crap disguised as advice and reprimands. It takes a mature adult to admit to him/herself that he/she does not like a person, but can still appreciate their talents and tolerate their nuances where they exist. It is a shame to delegate power to those as petty and stupid as professional bullies, since what comes from the top almost certainly trickles to the bottom, naturally. We tell our children about doing the right thing, but we show them a completely different set of attitudes in our lives. We ask God to help us not to stray, but we are not vigilant enough of our own behaviour to realise it for ourselves (God loves the stupid and self righteous too, no doubt). We expect kindness from those who are affiliated with the holy spirit ( let me see if i have this right… the fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, temperance and self control.)but we do not give what we expect in return.

Galatians 5:22-23

New International Version (NIV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

What child of God delights in fear and plants the seed of negativity and tumultuous feelings into one he/she is supposed to be a mentor and a leader to? (Have we also heard of envy, jealousy, malice and pride as things that destroy the soul?) Are the real leaders dead indeed?

Am I the only one who feels it?
